The 5 NPA school board candidates are committed to ending bullying on the Vancouver School Board. We have signed a pledge to set the precedent for respectful, collaborative and professional behaviour amongst trustees, district staff, and employees and to put students first.
We are publicly signing this pledge so that parents and students can hold us to account for the way we conduct ourselves in future.
Two independent investigations concluded that harassment and bullying by former VSB trustees led to six senior staff taking leaves and the superintendent resigning. Students and parents deserve to know exactly who was responsible for harassment and bullying of staff.
All other trustees except Vision trustees have un-redacted their names from the Goldner Report. What is Vision Vancouver hiding? Who are they protecting? Is it Mike Lombardi? Is it Joy Alexander? Is it Allan Wong? Is it Patti Bacchus?
The NPA candidates were mentioned in the report twice and that was not related to our conduct towards staff.Vision trustees were named 27 times and Parents and Students deserve to know who exactly was responsible for the harassment and bullying.
Vision Vancouver has called our initiative to stop bullying “silly”. What kind of message does that send students?
That is why we are urging Vision Vancouver to do the right thing and un-redact the names of the candidates and former trustees in the Goldner Report.
On October 14, vote for the 5 NPA candidates and lets stop bullying together. Advanced voting is at City Hall on October 4 and 10.
